Jeffrey David Sachs (*November 5, 1954) is an American economist and policy advisor. He teaches at Columbia University and heads the Center for Sustainable Development. Additionally, he is the president of the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network and an SDG ambassador (Sustainable Development Goals). He was known for his advisory work on the economic transformation of post-Soviet societies. Today, Sachs is a frequent presence in media, conferences, and panel discussions worldwide. His appearances and core narratives are highly repetitive.
